OPENING ACT
Don McMillan, America's #1 Nerdy Comedian
What do you get when you cross an Engineer with a stand-up comedian? You get Don McMillan. This former chip designer has been doing his one-of-a-kind, PowerPoint-Driven comedy show for audiences for over 20 years. In his show packed with graphs & charts, Don will show you the funny side of your world that has been sitting right in front of you – you are just too busy working to notice. Don graduated from Stanford University with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He then went to work at AT&T Bell Labs where he was part of the team that designed the world’s first 32-bit microprocessor. He then moved to Silicon Valley where he helped launch the start-up company, VLSI Technology. Then after 15 years in the tech world, Don quit his job to become a stand-up comedian. That year he won $100,000 as the Comedy Grand Champion on “Star Search”. Don’s been seen on “The Tonight Show”, “HBO”, and the “Comedy Central”. These days, Don spends most of his time writing and performing customized corporate comedy shows for companies like Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Ford Motors, and Exxon/Mobil. Don has performed more than 800 corporate shows in the last 20 years and he was named the #1 Corporate Comedian by the CBS Business Network. www.technicallyfunny.com

Dates/Location: October 23-25, 2023 (conference activities generally run from 9am on Monday through noon on Wednesday)

Hotel Reservations: Click here to secure your accommodations at the group rate of $229 plus 14.28% in taxes and fees per night single/double; honored three days prior and post as well based on availability. The resort fee has been discounted to $15 per night and is also taxable. We encourage you to book early to ensure availability. Unless the block sells out before then, the group rate will be available through September 21, 2023.
PLEASE NOTE: We have had a record response to this conference when it comes to guest rooms. The room block (original plus additions) is fully booked yet again. As the hotel is almost sold out at this point, we are unable to add more rooms, and the rooms that are available through the regular hotel site are at a higher rate. However, we do encourage you to check the online link daily between now and end of day Thursday September 21st (the last day to book any available group rooms at the group rate) in the event there are cancellations that become available.
Otherwise, there are a number of hotels and motels close to Hilton Beachfront and in multiple rate ranges, which many have availability during the week of the conference.
We suggest you look at Google maps for proximity and check directly with the hotels and motels, or hotel booking sites, for availability and rates over the conference dates.
TRANSPORTATION
Airport: We encourage you to fly in and out of Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). SBA offers 20 daily nonstop flights on American, Alaska, Southwest and United Airlines to 10 major destination hubs (including Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles). Other airport options include Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR).
Ground Transportation: We encourage Lyft or Uber if flying into SBA or car rental if flying into LAX or BUR.
Parking: We have negotiated $12 self and $25 valet parking for overnight guests. Day use parking is complimentary.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All attendee registration cancellations are subject to a $100 processing fee. Cancellation requests must be emailed to admin@acbo.org by October 9, 2023. No refunds will be given on or after October 10, 2023.
